The ACTION Center, in partnership with the PHIVOLCS, PAGASA and PDRRMO BATANGAS, successfully completed the virtual Webinar on Take Action to Prepare: Understanding Hazards and Threats of Tsunami, Typhoon and Volcanic Eruption for Effective Response for the members of the BatStateU Incident Management Teams , building marshals , Employees, students and other Local Government Units who signed up for the activity. The knowledge sharing session was led by USEC. Renato Solidum Undersecretary PHIVOLCS, Ms. Sharon Juliet Arruejo, Assistant Weather Services Chief Pagasa and Atty. Kimberly Dyane Garcia, Local Disaster Risk Management Officer IV Pdrrmo Batangas.

The webinar on Volcano and Earthquake and Earthquake Preparedness was led by Usec Renato U. Solidum Jr., Undersecretary of PHIVOLCS.  The webinar recognizes the preparedness of volcanic, Earthquake and Tsunami is an effective tool in immediately responding to incidents or accidents to ensure that, our knowledge and understanding of preparing for them is much more recent. Through planning and education, we are now in a position to ensure the current and upcoming generations make volcano, earthquake and tsunami preparedness a regular part of our routine. As preparedness actions become the norm, students can take this information and teach their families and friends how to be prepared too.

As we learn more, we are applying that knowledge to assist teachers, parents and schools in the education of students of all ages and abilities by providing lesson plans, curriculum, activities, games, materials, publications and a multitude of other resources.
